VALENTINE'S DAY RED AT CENTRAL PARK

I think I mentioned before that this year Emil and I will be spending Valentine's Day on the plane, heading back to LA. And since a 5-hour plane ride, on top of packing and dealing with all the travel nonsense doesn't exactly scream romance, we decided to exchange gifts and celebrate V-Day a bit early. Btw, the sunnies I am sporting in today's look are my Valentine's Day present from Emil and taking into consideration my obsession with sunglasses, Emil definitely scored double points for creativity and knowing exactly what I like. Of course, the fact that I was drooling over them on our recent trip to Sunglass Hut probably made it a bit easier for him:) Don't get me wrong, I love flowers and candy, but in my opinion a pair of fabulous shades makes a much more stylish and practical gift:)

Since we don't get that many chances to celebrate Valentine's Day in New York, we decided to skip the dinner and movie route and instead spend the day exploring the city. We ended up taking a nice long stroll around Central Park, hitting a few of our favorite book stores and coffee shops and doing a little shopping of 5th avenue.

I am definitely glad I opted to wear pants and sweater instead of a dress... I figured, since we decided to keep our Valentines Day adventures fairly unconventional, cute sweater and wide-legged pants in Valentine's Day signature color could look just as romantic as a dress, but would be much more practical considering the weather:)!

How about you guys, what are you doing for Valentine's Day?
