Good morning and happy Friday, Everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful week!
I wanted to take this opportunity to share a few images of the outfit I wore to my friend's Wedding this week. Since the occasion was quite formal, I decided to go for a really glamorous evening look. So, even though I normally gravitate towards shorter cocktail dresses for evening, I opted to wear a floor-length gown instead. Btw, the search for a perfect floor-length gown began a few weeks ago, and was pretty fruitless until I found this beautiful chevron number. I think what attracted me the most to this dress was the simplicity of silhouette combined with the boldness of black and white chevron pattern.
Once I settled on the dress, I began thinking about the perfect jewelry to pair it with. Though I love wearing statement earrings for evening, something about the cut of the dress kept me thinking about bold wrist-wear. Since I am currently at the height of my obsession with pearls, I decided to layer pearl bracelets on both wrists. Despite the fact that I chose pearls as the main focal point of my wrist-wear, whenever I layer bracelets, I like to mix in one or more different textures. In this case, aside from layering pearl bracelets in various sizes and colors, I added a few rhinestone pieces as well. Finally, though I was slightly tempted to add a pair of dangling earrings, I decided to keep all of the attention on the wrists and opted to wear simple pearl studs, a decision I greatly appreciated once I started dancing and didn't have to deal with earrings constantly getting tangled in my hair:)
What about you guys, do you share my more is more philosophy when it comes to jewelry? How do you feel about layering bracelets for evening?
